However, although Puppy was originally designed for very old hardware I've had many difficulties getting it installed on my two old laptops - due to the install routine not liking my PCMCIA CD drive on one laptop and the install routine freezing on the other.
I've used Puppy Linux off and on (mostly on) for several years and the latest official versions are very well done.
